31st Annual
Old Time Fiddle Contest and Festival
The Cloverdale Historical Society is proud to announce that the 2006 Fiddle Contest and Festival is expanding to two days. The festivities begin at 2 pm on Friday, January 27th with three divisions of the contest and entertainment, followed by a dance in the evening. Saturday, January 28th’s activities begin at 9 am with the remaining contest divisions and expanded entertainment, ending with the awards ceremony at approximately 6 pm. Both days will feature wonderful music, a wide variety of craft vendors and good food. For more information regarding fiddler registration, vendor applications, tickets, etc. contact the Society office at 707-894-2067 or email requests to info@cloverdalehistoricalsociety.org . The Cloverdale Old Time Fiddle Contest was started in 1976 as a means of preserving Old Time Fiddle Music and as a fund raiser for the upkeep and restoration of the Cloverdale Museum. The Cloverdale Historical Society wishes to thank all of the contestants who participate in the Contests, and so help to preserve a style of music which is heard less and less in this country. Many thanks to the volunteers who assist in the production of the event.
