Come for the day or a longer stay! We are in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country just 15 miles north of Healdsburg. We are in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country at the top of the world-renown Alexander Valley wine-growing region. The Gould-Shaw House Museum and History Center are part of the Cultural Corridor of shops, restaurants, art galleries and B&Bs located in downtown Cloverdale.

Just next door is the Center for Performing Arts, a beautiful 99-seat theatre featuring some of the finest live theatre productions in Sonoma County. The History Center and Museum are handicapped accessible with free on-street parking and a free parking lot at the rear of the buildings.

Mission

Founded in 1968, the Cloverdale Historical Society is a cultural, non-profit organization 501 (C) (3) Corporation Tax I.D. #68-0047998 with a mission to collect, conserve and celebrate the unique history of the Cloverdale area. It is supported by dedicated and talented volunteers, and a growing membership.

Funding

The Society is funded by memberships, donations, and a small endowment created by a local resident along with a variety of fundraising activities.
